Nuts To Eat
We feature Ontario grown nuts and nut meats. We also import the finest Texas pecans for our customer enjoyment. For eating out-of-hand, roasting, candy making or baking, our nuts can't be beat. The fresh taste comes through. Buy them for yourself or as a gift for that special person. The following are available as long as supplies last. Please check the nut meats for shell fragments as you use them. We visually check them several times but occasional shell pieces may get through.
(Nuts cannot be returned. Please contact us if there is a quality concern.)
Sorry American customers, we do not send nuts to the US.
We are including hickory wood for smoking on this page.
SHIPPING: There is a base price for each province or territory for one pound/kg/item of nuts (up to 9 kg). Orders over 9 kg can result in a new shipping calculation as additonal boxes may be required. There is no tax on nuts or meats- just the shipping. Also....Sorry, nuts cannot be combined with tree orders for logistical reasons.
These "toppers" are delightful small pieces to sprinkle on top of your salads, ice cream, yogourt, or used for baked goods. Same great taste in bit sized pieces.
FRESH AND DELICIOUS - They're back!!!
Our wonderful tasting shelled pecans are great for eating out of hand, in salads, for baking and candy making. These Texas pecans are outstanding!

These are walnut halves and large pieces. These fresh walnuts are perfect for eating or baking. Delicious tasting and high in Omega 3 and 6. This current batch has been grown in California.
The heartnut has a fine mellow walnut flavor without any bitterness. They break easily in two with a light hammer strike on the nut held on edge. Of course the Kenkel or the Duke walnut cracker will do the job easily.
Freshly roasted to perfection in their shell, our Ontario grown roasted hazelnuts are a real treat.
We will have more roasted for orders by November 15. Orders placed for these will be held until the nuts are roasted and ready!
Our northern walnuts have the best flavor and sell out quickly. These are our Niagara grown nuts. Enjoy!
Sorry, our 2024 crop was very light and we do not have any left for sale. Please try other wonderful local nuts instead.
Shagbark hickory is one of our favorites for flavor. Our hickory nuts are mainly from grafted orchard trees and so crack out better than wild hickory. We recommend our Duke black walnut cracker or a light hammer and a brick as a base to crack them and a diagonal pliers as a secondary cracker as needed.
Shellbark hickory is one of our favorites for flavour. Our shellbark hickory nuts are from grafted orchard trees and crack out better than wild hickory. The nuts are almost the size of walnuts but the shells are quite thick. We recommend using our Duke black walnut cracker or a hammer and solid base for cracking them.
The Mitchell heartnut x butternut also known as a buartnut is the best hybrid heartnut known. We have a small supply of the nuts for eating. To crack them stand the nut on edge on a solid surface like a brick and tap gently with a hammer. Listen for the cracking sound.
Black walnut nut meats are a robust flavoured treat quite different from other walnuts, but a great addition to salads, black walnut pie (sustitute for pecan) and baked goods.
Hickory wood chips and shavings make a great flavour in your smoker. Our chips have been dried for over 6 months in our greenhouse to get them thoroughly dry. Try pork, brisket, ham or salmon to enhance the flavour of the meat. Remember to soak the wood for about 15 minutes before adding to your smoker. We sell 2.5 kg bags.
